Description

1. Business Development – Key Accountabilities

- Identify, appraise and negotiate potential hotel management, manchise and franchise opportunities for development projects and reflagging of existing properties, to build an effective pipeline of new deals

- Spearhead investment and/or lease deals whilst overseeing both legal and financial due diligence, be that internally or with external consultants

- Oversee all aspects of the deal-flow process through to execution of definitive agreements including: project identification, initial site inspections and meetings, technical and financial appraisals, and the drafting, negotiation, localisation and finalisation of agreements on terms and conditions acceptable to Dusit, through co-ordination and collaboration with operations, technical services and both internal and external legal representatives

- Cultivate effective business network and alliances to facilitate lead flow on new business opportunities - Maintain current knowledge of the market and competition, with the intention of generating leads

2. Development Marketing

- Assist in the coordination of marketing activities i.e. influencer forums, investor conferences, seminars, etc

- Assist with all necessary initiatives to establish our brand image and strong customer recognition for the Dusit brands

- Assist development effort administratively, particularly in the preparation of financial models, presentations, contracts and collateral

3. Management Support and Reporting

- Assist with the preparation of the annual business plan and budget, and monthly business reports

- Assist technical services, operations and legal teams as required

- Maintain monthly project status report

- Involve in other activities that support the development activities of the Group

- Any other duties as may be assigned by the superior

Qualifications

1. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Real Estate, Hotel Administration or business from a recognized hospitality/tertiary institution

2. 8 or more years of experiences within hotel environment, or as a consultant to the business in legal, finance or real estate consultant, etc, with at least three years experience of the African region

3. Ability to communicate fluently in both English and French is advantage

4. Successful leadership and "self-starting" experience

5. Strong contact base and excellent reputation in the hospitality sector

6. An effective relationship builder who is able to nurture and maintain friendly, reciprocal, and warm relationships - both internally and externally, and has proven ability to build and keep networks of contacts with people across a range of cultures

7. Demontrated ability to effectively structure agreements, handle multipple projects on short timescales, work independently, and manage allocated resources efficiently and effectively

8. Flexible and adaptive to the challenging demands of the business and able to direct changes both internally and externally

9. Mature, professional demeanor, capable of expressing confident, independent judgement, with strong "selling" skills

10. A communicator who is able to carry out presentation in a confident and professional manner and "pich" Dusit's brands to thrid parties

11. Ability to think strategically, critically and analytically while maintaining an enthusiastic, energetic, proactive outlook and approach to professional life

12. Must have broad business view and sharp business acumen

13. Must have excellent communication, negotiation and mediation skills

14. Creates relationships and a positive climate to guide effective teams that are committed to organisational goals and initiatives

15. Must be a self-starter who can work independently and be a strong team player that contributes to the effectiveness of the broader development team

16. Solve problems and monitor the progress, maintain high performance standard

17. Develop and maintain effective relationships both internally and externally; influnces with and without direct authority
